History
With its amazing history, the city of Tabriz has always been a source for the most
incredible weaving. Many carpets were
inspired by the Shah Abbas period during the 15th and 16th
century.
Haji Jalili was one of few master weavers in Tabriz of
the 19th century. He was perhaps one of the greatest and most
renowned. He became well known for his unique, exquisitely crafted designs and
fine quality pieces made only for royalty and noblemen. Haji Jalili rugs are
best known for their soft color pallet, exquisite dyes, and subtle tones. These
rugs often include colors such as soft rusts, brown, ivory, coffee, rose, and Terra cotta that work well in any setting. These Tabriz rugs are under high
demand due to their high knot density and incredible everlasting quality. Because of the small number of Haji Jalili
carpets produced, these rugs are truly desirable and great investment pieces.
